Why I choose statpress reloaded to show my real time blog statistics
Yeah, everyone knows that Google analytics is work great for shows your blog stats but I got another one. I give both of them equal point because both of them have plus and minus and the most important thing is they provide what I need and Free to use…lol…
In this post I will review a neat plugin call statpress reloaded, I bet you heard about this plugin before and you right this plugin is rock. I am using statpress reloaded since my blog started, this plugin give the real time statistics about my blog and tons of other powerful feature.
This is the detail about statpress reloaded which I got from wordpress.org
This plugin (a highly improved fork of StatPress) shows you real time statistics about your blog. It collects information about visitors, spiders, search keywords, feeds, browsers, OS etc.
Once the plugin StatPress has been activated it immediately starts to collect information. Using StatPress Reloaded you can see your visitors actions while they are surfing your blog or check which are the preferred pages, posts and categories. In the Dashboard menu you will find the StatPress Reloaded page where you could look up the statistics (overview or detailed). StatPress Reloaded also includes a widget you can add to a sidebar (or easy PHP code if you can’t use widgets!).
My review about this plugin:
Like I said above, statpress reloaded provide really cool information about my blog. this plugin give me real time statistics every time I want , I don’t need to visit another site ( like Google analytics ) , I don’t need to sign up and I don’t need to pay a cent ( except you wanna donate)
Statpress reloaded plugin feature:
- Last hits : give you a detail information about last hits on your blog
- Last search terms : this is very powerful feature , I bet you will love it because it’s my favorite feature from this plugin
- Last referral : give you the detail information about where the traffic came from
- Last page : information about last page visited on your blog
- Tons of other powerful feature
Most powerful feature that I love from statpress reloaded is last search terms feature , this feature give you a very detail information about the keyword that made you got traffic from search engine . Bellow I have provided a picture about this feature, the “terms “is the keyword that made you got traffic and the “result “is search engine result that show your page on it.
Why I love this feature: simple, I love this feature because I can know what keyword I have win on search engine.
You are wordpress user, you are lucky then. Try this plugin for free and you might forget others

Keeping track of a site’s performance is really a must. It is also nice and fun to do some experimenting of different methods and see how it affects the results of the site. As of the moment, I’m still using Google Analytics.

Blogger looking for MMO must have some plug-in like this for the blog. However, your casual style gets readers relaxed & interested in the post & plug-in very easily instead of cheesy, over-trying & obvious sales lines. I really find it involving & terrific.

I’ve installed this plugin for 2-3days already, I realized that the UV and pageview in this plugin compares with Google Analytics, that’s a big gap man! I have only 200+ UV in Google Analytics, but statpress shows 700+ UV.. don’t know which one I should refer to..lol!

Based on my experience , google analytic has a big name of google , but this doesn’t mean that they are the best when we are talking about web stats analytics. statpress is a new thing with powerful feature that help me boost my blog stats by using it as a research .

I have no idea, perhaps what you said is right, I can only see the gap is very big between Google Analytics and Statpress, I like statpress too because it shows many details. Between, I found discrepancy on the Last Referrer part, statpress shows the site which the referrer comes from, but Google Analytics doesn’t have it.
Anyway, just make use of it.

See what you can get if believe in me. For honest, this free plugin has help me and told me the truth behind my blog.i just love it since i use it for the first time and i bet you have felt it too.
I have to admit that I love the Statpress plug-in. I have been checking this instead of Google Analytics. The reason being is that it is right on the Wordpress dashboard and for some reason, Analytics is no longer keeping track of stats. Ever since I installed Statpress, Analytics has failed to keep track of my stats. Any help or suggestions?

I’m a MySQL DBA for a major world-wide internet hosting company and I see people using StatPress on their WP blogs and it kills the performance of the server, and their site. I will agree with you on the fact that the information provided by the StatPress plugin is useful. However, when you scratch just below the surface of this plugin, beyond the stats, the plugin itself is horrible. The database design of this plugin is absolutely horrendous to say the least. The Reloaded version does not improve upon the faults of the original StatPress plugin.
Not only does it store massive amounts of data (which as I said is useful data), but the database design is just downright horrible. Tables and columns that are regularly queried are missing integral indexes that can improve performance. Additionally, all data fields are by default TEXT data type, which is BAD! By changing a few data types and adding a couple indexes, I’ve taken queries from this plugin from examining 140k plus rows, down to examining less than 1800 rows, a 78% decrease in rows examined. I installed this plugin today to start tinkering with it to know it better so I could improve it. After only 9 hours of collecting data, I have 270 rows of data on a blog that receives only minor traffic. That’s approximately 720 rows of data per day and 21600 rows of data per month, and nearly 130,000 rows of data in 6 months. Anyone who knows anything about database design, querying a table with 130,000 rows of data and no index can spell disaster for your blog. And that’s only on a minor traffic blog. If your site gets more traffic thatn that, you’re in trouble.
I recommend “Google Analytics for WordPress” or “Wordpress.com Stats” (the latter requires an API key from wordpress.com, the former is obviously used in conjunction with Google Analytics, which is a great stat tracking software).
I am currently working on fixing all the faults in the database design and query execution of this plugin and will post here once I have.
